This course enables personnel who already have a full range of basic skills to advance to a position where they are able to set up and supervise rope systems to solve a wide variety of rope rescues scenarios. On conclusion of this course Mr Brown travelled to Bangor, Wales, where he attended a Rope Rescue Supervisors Course. This course will equip him with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding required as an Initial Incident Commander at operational level. Mr Brown successfully passed his theoretical exam achieving 98.5%. There he was assessed as a decision maker across an unrivalled range of realistic operational scenarios, both in the Simulation Suite utilizing the new innovative Blue Hawk technology and practically on the Incident Ground. This course employs a blended learning approach over a six-week period, with five days spent on site at the FSC. Last month he attended the Incident Command level one course at the Fire Service College (FSC) in Moreton-In-Marsh, Gloucestershire, UK.
